my new OS :D

i had been using windows almost all my entire life. its not that i dont like windows, but i wanted something new. something unique. something out of the ordinary.

i needed change.

it all started one boring night, we were tal

king with my friend (kevin paul p. mabul), stalking facebook accounts, talking about tekken, etc. he invited me to switch to Linux. at first, i wasnt interested and i didnt like changing my OS because of the work, hassle, additional downloads, and lots and lots and LOTS of configuring to do. it took him a long time to convince me, but in the end i agreed. after all, i wa

nted something new.

he showed me the list of linux OS's and we talked about each and every one of them. i asked a lot of questions, but he didn't mind. i asked him what he recommended and he gave me 2.

for low RAM usage, he recommended linux MINT 9 LXDE. for more user-friendly features, linux MINT 9 KDE

i didnt really mind then the "user-friendly factor of LINUX MINT 9 KDE so naturally i choosed LINUX MINT 9 LXDE for its low RAM usage as i had only 1GB of ram :|

this is my LINUX MINT 9 LXDE :D i like it for it's cool, clean and suave look. :3 and most of all, it only consumes approximately 200-400mb of RAM. :D 4 desktops, the ability to minimize windows, showing only the title bar (which is COOL) and some other shit :D although, i gotta admit it is a little bit complicated to use. its not that im not used to linux (but really, im not used to linux) but some stuff are really confusing .

tada! :D this is my LINUX MINT 9 GNOME :3 it became my instant favorite because of its light color, user friendly shit, and all that jazz :3 it still has 4 desktops and consumes more RAM than LXDE :3

as you can see from the picture, i have conky enabled. conky is the statistic shit at the left side of my desktop :3

this will be my first post with pix! hahaha.

what you see here is my bedroom floor. as you can see, there's a variety of items that should not be there in the first place. my dirty clothes, books, papers, wrappers, magazines, food crumbs, mat (i "lost" my chair so i sit here).















in this picture, you can see my table. and my shelves. my collection, knives, cars, ferrari, a small clock, more knives, diploma, telescope, wires, papers, necessities, straps, radio/digi clock, an award for essay writing and i think thats it.














another part of the floor. you can see that there are mats and pillows and stuff. i usually standby here coz my bed is
upstairs.. lol, you'll see. hahaha. there's a piglet. thats not mine, tis my sister's. there's some papers and books, rubber tube, bag, shin guards(lol, why is that there?) and mat. hehehe.













in this, another shelf. you can see(i dont know, can you?) a backscratcher lol, badminton bag, wires, another award, papers, swimming ID, envelope, cd's, ohh, and a soccer ball.
















so, here's my bead. it's called a loft bed. a 2-storey thing. underneath that is my desk, and above is my bed. here you'll see a dreamcatcher, towel, pillows. lots and lots of pillows, my god-forsaken tv. (only has gma.) medals, (one of the medals i have was for CLEANLINESS.) my milo marathon number, drawer, books, etc.

this is my desk under my bed. there's a pictureless frame, BIBLE, box, books, calendar, Egyptian poster, Egyptian lamp, and a papyrus painting, and some other stuff. hopefully by Christmas, you'll see a new addition of things there. my very own computer, hahaha

this is my favorite things corner. my egyptian poster, egyptian lamp, egyptian papyrus painting, some things, books. and pauline's picture. i just placed is there for effect, although her picture resides in my wallet. hahaha

this is the "collection's corner. my knife collection, cars, ferrari, some other collectibles. and i think thats it though.

now you have parts of my room. now that you saw my small room, i think an explanation is in order. hahaha. since it's summer, i have that laziness flu that makes me lazy. lol. it is a little messy. but rest assured, by maybe next week, i will clean my room and MAYBE il make a post about that. hahaha. this is the longest post that i have been working on. i just hope it was worth it though. i had to cope with pictures with mismatched descriptions, duplicated pictures and descriptions, finding the right pictures, thinking of stuff to write, etc. hehehe. so, till here. il make MORE posts soon. dont worry, i will have enough posts to last a LIFETIME. :)
