PACMAN vs HITMAN

so it begins..

the most awaited boxing match, finally came. of course, it started with the traditional weigh-in. though, you may notice that they use manual scales, not electric or digital ones. i still dont know why they use that.. (the mystery of the manual scales continue)

the crowd was AMAZING.. truly amazing. when the brits come over, expect some fun! hahaha. when i witnessed the crowd during the weigh-in, it was like a soccer match. the crowds were chanting; there is only one ricky hatton, God save the queen, etc. it was truly a sight to behold! having a crowd like that is truly awesome! hahaha. so, after the traditional weigh-in, they went back to their hotels and had a good night's sleep.

fight day..

ricky hatton was the first to be announced. most of the crowd went wild when his name was called (no surprises there, more than half of the crowd were brits.) he came into the ring with the most peculiar bottoms i had seen in a boxer. (his trunks has laces in 'em) lol, hahaha. then comes manny pacquiao, accompanied by his team, TEAM PACQUIAO. with WWE superstar, batista. (batista's real name is dave bautista. he is a filipino. hahaha)manny pacman pacquiao, the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world today.. the top pick of most people..

but we couldnt share our sympathy with the brits though.

as manny pacquiao's name was called, there was a rising uproar in the stands; not by the fans though. the brits stopped their chanting and began booing manny.

who could blame them, though? t

they're just fans though.. although the british fans were partying, laughing, cheering, shouting and drinking to their heart's content for their champ hatton, they were never unruly though. they still had some sense left in them.

and so the fight begins..

round one. the moment the bell rang, ricky hatton was all over manny pacquiao. he was true to his word; he would keep coming forward. there were many times when manny went to the ropes. it was a sticky situation but his agility made him escape a brutal beating. ricky hatton was a perfect target though, all offense and barely and defense, manny punched hard and..

BAM.

right to the kisser. hatton was down with less than a minute left in the round. though if you watched in slo-mo, it wasnt really a big knockout. they punched at the same time but manny was too quick. his perfectly aimed right hook made contact with his chin. though it was a hard blow, i doubt hatton would fall.

but alas, he fell. why though?

they punched at the same time but manny hit hatton first. so the centrifical force as he swung his left hook was too much that his body went into motion and.. tripped.

while he was down, he sorta thought these words..

hatton: woah.. is it round ten already?!

at the same time, manny was also thinking the same lines..

manny: woah, is it round ten already?

both fighters were shocked of what just happened.

so hatton was back on his feet and ready for some more. he was being more aggressive. i saw manny stagger not once, not twice, but three times. yes, HE STAGGERED. when hatton connects, manny loses his balance but quickly regains.. if hatton connects two punches though..

manny would be in big trouble.

so with barely 10 seconds left in the 1st round, manny, hands flailing madly, managed to topple hatton and scored another knockout.

WHAM.

another knockout.. 2 knockouts in round 1? its too good to be true. though, the 2nd knockout wasnt a real knockout. just like the first, he simply tripped. again, in slo-mo. manny was goin crazy against hatton and hatton was wise enough to back up.. but he was not fast at backing up. he leaned a little more than he inteded to just to avoid manny's punch.. and what happened next?

he simply lost his balance and tripped. again..

although the overjoyed pacman fans were enjoying every bit of it, both fighters knew that hatton merely lost his balance. though it was a knockout nevertheless.

round 2..

as the bell rang, hatton was in manny's face. he was incredible. he was just as tough as he was in the 1st round. if not, tougher. it didnt look as though he had experienced two knockouts in one round. so he was driving manny up the wall. he managed to pin manny though. and whenever he did so, he was brawling him.

manny barely escaped hatton..

and so, manny realized that the situation became grave and he needed to land another knockout. but he must be patient though. he must plan his punch at the right time. trying not to get close to hatton. manny was having trouble with hatton. yes, he did..

and in the heat of the battle, he launched his right jab but hatton was ready for it. having being knocked out by manny using his right, hatton was cautiously watching out for another one. and manny realized his mistake just in time. he faked his right just at the very last minute and went for the left hook.. his strong left hook. manny saw hatton leave his right side open, hatton having "anticipated manny's right hooks and simply defended his left.

KAAPOOOW.

he landed his perfectly sweeeeet left hook between his neck and head. putting the lights out of hatton. for good. manny knocked hatton out cold. his punch landed perfectly that hatton failed to get up.
